(most of this is a repeat of what I wrote on my comments back to you)

Rant, you are my kindred blogbrother...no doubt about it. You're right, we just take different angles on life and humankind...you seem to try to equalize all of us so that we can play well together ;) I also hear ya' on the hectic life part...ditto as well. So glad to hear that my entries help at the right time...your archives do the same for me. Usually with tears in my eyes from laughing so hard.

I remember your Chicago blogger entry. Witty as hell, dude.

As for showing up late to the parties of life? You are right, sometimes it is good. And as for all those coworkers who were there in the high days...at least you're not one of the mourners living in the past. I loved your last line..."and I'm fine with that." Perfect.

So my question is...what does it mean, if anything? That you are meant to mark and observe the shift? That you don't need to be the ones clamoring for the short-lived thrill and searching and yearning for the next? That you symbolize the joy of the end of the wave (with the exception of the swing dance wave...nice going on that one)? Don't mind me, I like to ponder the possible meanings of things, as a hobby, not as a must ;)

Take care, yang. Keep up all the great entries as long as you can and I'll try to do the same.

Mona, all I can say right now is "Ditto" and "Thank you" to your comments. I ponder those same things--and pray every day that I can find calm moments to not only ponder but find "PEACE." Which reminds me, I could really use some of your blog today.
